WORKING 1986 PLAYMATES CRICKET 25" Talking Doll Original Box

Up for sale is an almost brand new out of box 1986 Playmates Talking Cricket complete with box, inner box, operating and care tape, original story tape, and care instructions manual. I had to change the title to working as Ebay slapped my hand because I tried to say Like New.I’m saying she is like new because I can tell she was never played with, but was taken out of the box. Her battery compartment is pristine and I can tell no batteries has gone in as the red pull ribbon is still crisp. She also still has her original 3 sausage curl ringlets on each pigtail. These came this way by default so the child could then brush them out and make many curls. Her body is clean and crisp and so are her shoes, socks, bloomers, skirt, and sweater.
Shockingly her original bands are still intact inside and operational. I’ve restored dozens and dozens of these dolls and I’ve never come across one where the original 35 year old rubber bands worked!
Granted they could go at anytime. But I do repairs on them and you can follow along with my videos if you wish, or if the buyer wants me to open her up and replace the bands before I ship her I can do that only with consent.

Note: She does Not come with the cassette tape or book in this video, nor the chair. She will come with her original care and instructions tape, and her original default story tape that all cricket dolls came with to get started. If you want any additional cassette tapes, reach out to me and I can put some up for $10 each and add them to the box. I have extra copies of most every tape. :)
This also is an earlier version of cricket. You can tell by the box logo. Notice the I in her name doesn’t have her signature cricket bug up there yet.
If I didn’t have so many cricket dolls already in my collection, I would 100% be keeping her as she’s perfect.
There’s a lot of crickets for sale out there, but know you are buying from an expert source and collector of this doll. I keep it honest and am always here to answer any questions long after the sale is complete!
