Vintage Madame Alexander Lissy Doll 12 Inch Articulated 1950s + Tagged Clothes. Lissy is a rare doll! She’s in amazing condition, with perfectly styled hair and big green eyes that work (unusual for Lissy). I restrung her so she’s nice and tight and can pose well. She has bending knees and elbows. Lissy wears her full taffeta crinoline, stockings, kitten heel shoes, and tagged MA dressing gown ~ she takes us back to a time when pajamas and lounge wear were more elegant than today’s clothing! Her panties are reproductions; all other clothes are original to the era. Lissy’s clothing is in fair condition, with all over darkening and minor spots as well as a couple repairs. Her stockings have some pinholes. All in all this set is in very good vintage condition. It’s extremely rare; I’ve never seen another like it and I haven’t seen Lissy with this hairstyle before. Lissy clothing is tagged Lissy - the robe is and slip are for a larger doll, 14", the robe is a boxed extra made in 1952-53 for the flat footed dolls Maggie, Margaret, Winnie - it is shown in the clothing booklet and was made before Lissy herself was made.
