circa 1900 striped cotton dress for French or German Fashion Dolls or for China head dolls or similar dolls. The simplicity of this cotton machine and hand sewn dress is lovely. Gathered cuffs. Nice waistband. Cotton lace and woven trim on neckline. Nice gathers on bodice. 2 mother of pearl buttons on back, and 1 hook. It looks as if there was some indecision on whether to use a button or hook/eye at the back waist closure for there is 1 hook but no eye and 1 button but no button hole, lol. 1 stitch pull on the hem, see pic. I didn't notice any stains.

5 inches FLAT measured underarm to underarm
5 1/2 inches long sleeves

For the entire measurement of the garment around the waist, around the bodice, etc, double the measurement listed. Measure around your doll with a flexible tape measure for the best results. For example, a 4 inch flat measured waist is approximately 8 inches around the entire garment, so a doll of no bigger than an 8 inch waist could wear that item. I ship actual, calculated USPS shipping. USPS rules state that if the mailer is over 1/4 of an inch thick it is considered a package. Package dimensions, package weight, and the zone of the shipping destination all figure into the postage pricing system. The USPS base package price starts at $4.75 (1 oz). There is a $2 handling fee per auction lot. I combine shipping on auction lots that close within 2 days of each other. This lot weighs 4 oz.
