Vintage 1960’s Chatty Cathy Prototype 19” Doll, Original Dress

Nice vintage collectible 1960s prototype Chatty Cathy doll, in good used condition. You can pull the string out but it goes back too fast and you only get some warbled sound, so it would need repair. The doll is approximately 19” tall, with strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes, two front teeth, fading grayish freckles and eyebrows. She has a hard plastic type torso with a soft covered speaker area, and sturdy vinyl arms and legs. Her face is also vinyl. There are no maker marks on the back or the neck of the doll. There may be a small amount of tiny marks, tiny dents or stains on the doll. Her hair is short but looks like others; so I can’t say if it was cut in the back or not. Cathy comes with original outfit of: socks, undies, slip, sundress/jumper and short blouse that can be worn over or under the dress. The slip and undies are stretched out but stay on. The white garment parts have yellowing and may have pale bluing from the dress.
